Baku hosts 5th Congress of International Association of Civil Aviation Workers’ Unions
The 5th Congress of the International Association of Civil Aviation Workers’ Unions (IACAWU) has been held in Baku.
In his remarks at the event, IACAWU president Valery Selitrinnikov highlighted the activities of the association. He said the organization actively supports integration processes in the CIS region.
President of the Belarus Committee of Civil Aviation Workers’ Unions Yury Ershov provided an insight into the activities of IACAWU since the last congress.
The congress heard country reports from member states of the association.
Director of Azerbaijan State Civil Aviation Administration Arif Mammadov and Azerbaijan Airlines vice president Eldar Hajiyev attended the congress.
A message of rector of Azerbaijan National Aviation Academy Arif Pashayev was read out at the event.
Chair of the Association of Azerbaijan Aviation Workers’ Unions Bakir Yusifov was elected as a new president of IACAWU.
Participants of the congress also adopted an appeal to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
