Over 540 km of roads built, repaired in Azerbaijan

Some 542.7 km of roads have been built, renovated and repaired in Azerbaijan in January-September 2016, OJSC Azeryolservis (Azerbaijan's state owned road operator) said in a message on October 25.
Some 299 km account for the roads of national significance, 180,5 km account for local roads and 63.2 km - for urban roads in Baku.
"Twelve new road bridges were built and five roads were renovated. A new pedestrian crossing was buit on the section of Baku-Shamakhi highway, passing through the village of Jangi. Another crossing was repaired in Baku," read the message.
During the reporting period, 708,000 tons of asphalt, 40,400 tons of bitumen and 3,500 tons of fuel oil were used for construction and repair works.
