Ambassador of the UK to Azerbaijan, Carole Crofts has congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the 25th anniversary of restoration of the country’s independence.
A video of the diplomat’s congratulations in Azerbaijani was shared on the embassy’s official page on Facebook.
In her address, the ambassador said 25 years of development of independent Azerbaijan truly deserve attention.
She said the UK is proud to have played a role in supporting the independence of Azerbaijan, and hopes that Azerbaijan will achieve greater success and will become even a stronger state in the next 25 years.
Carole Crofts also voiced hope for the future strengthening of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the UK.
Azerbaijanis celebrate October 18 as a glorious day in their
history, their Independence Day. 25 years ago, the people of
Azerbaijan raised the banner of independence for the second time
and this became a brilliant victory in the political history of the
nation in the 20th century.
