Baku City Circuit holds charity fair

Baku City Circuit (BCC) held a charity fair entitled: “Let’s Unite in the Hope Circuit” at the Fountain Square on May 8 with all its employees – including the 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe Volunteers and Marshal - in attendance.

To commemorate the occupation of Shusha city, handicrafts, sweets, souvenirs and beautiful miscellaneous gifts made by both children of an orphanage and the BCC workforce were put on sale.

Baku’s residents showed great interest in the event and made donations to the “Umid Yeri” Children’s Orphanage. The 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe’s Celebrity Ambassador, Murad Dadashov, also attended the charity fair.

Baku City Circuit’s team donated all profits from the charity event to the “Umid Yeri” Children Orphanage.

The fabulous atmosphere in Baku will provide the perfect backdrop for the 8th round of the 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship during the race weekend of June 17-19, 2016 and will provide spectators with a truly unique live sporting experience.

Azerbaijan is the 32nd country hosting the official Grand Prix and Sly Sports survey puts Baku City Circuit among the leaders in “Formula 1's best 'new' track” voting. The famous British channel has placed the Baku Grand Prix 6th in the voting.
