Five months left for 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe in Baku
With only 5 months to go until the 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe arrives in Baku. The tickets are still available on the official Baku City Circuit website: www.bakucitycircuit.com as well as via Gootickets.com, Grand Prix Tickets Worldwide (gpt-worldwide.com) and Formula1.com.
The fabulous atmosphere in Baku, Azerbaijan’s capital city will provide the perfect backdrop for the 8th round of the 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship and will provide spectators with a truly unique live sporting experience.
The spectacular location of F1’s newest street circuit in a city that combines the old with the new in breath-taking fashion, including its stunning Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the magnificent Flame Towers as well as its delightful seaside promenade make it an ideal location for a race weekend.
There has already been strong interest from global F1 fans, with 65% of tickets sold so far coming from the international market, in particular the UK, Russia and Finland, Azertac reported.
The BCC’s Executive director, Arif Rahimov, is therefore urging fans to start planning their trip to Baku now to make sure they don’t miss out on experiencing F1’s newest and most spectacular addition live and in person.
“We are so excited to see the tickets for our first ever F1 race beginning to sell both at home and abroad. We sincerely believe that the Formula 1 community will have an incredible experience in Baku and enjoy all the things that make the Azerbaijani capital city so very special. Baku possesses all the ingredients to make our country’s inaugural F1 race the most spectacular and memorable race on the F1 calendar this year. My message to fans is simple: visit our magnificent city and get your tickets while they are still available!”
A variety of ticket options are on offer for the 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe, including various packages for the Absheron Grandstand, which will offer fans some fantastic views of the start/finish lane, as well as a wide range of different Grandstand seating options, located at various corners and straights along the track. In addition, General Admission roaming tickets will also be on offer to those preferring to watch the action from different locations on the track on various standing areas and podiums. General Admission weekend tickets are on sale from $89, while 3-day seating packages are available from between $200 – $590. All tickets will not only offer fans access to the race, but also to the many entertainment activities, including daily concerts, that will be taking place along Baku’s beautiful seaside promenade.
