Don't miss chance to familiarize with Colombian culture in Baku
A gastronomic and musical event will be hosted by the Colombian embassy Baku on September 10 with an aim to share Colombian culture with Azerbaijanis.
The event will be held under the rhythms of the traditional and exuberant music of Colombia’s Caribbean region performed by “Tato Marenco y Vía 40” group.
The guests will have a chance to taste the typical Caribbean dishes cooked by the famous chef from Baranquilla Ivan Francisco Escobar. There will also be an opportunity to taste some “Premium Colombiano” rum that was brought to the event directly from Colombia.
Representatives of the Azerbaijani authorities and of the diplomatic corps accredited to the country as well as cultural figures, private sector, Colombian community and the friends of Colombia in Azerbaijan will take part in this event that will take place from 20:00 till 22:00 at Boulevard Hotel.
Columbia is a beautiful, colorful, friendly, welcoming, fun, energetic and lovable country. Due to its location, the present territory of Colombia was a corridor of early human migration from Mesoamerica and the Caribbean to the Andes and Amazon.
There are a lot of things to love about Colombia, but the one that really appeals to many most is the connection that people have with music and dance here. Music has a big role in Colombian culture. Music permeates every aspect of daily life and here, dancing is the social activity of choice.
The country is full of sheer beauty. The coastline at Tayona National Park, the colonial buildings in Cartagena, and the famous Las Lajas Cathedral in Ipiales are all stunning.
