Baku hosts "I am proud that I am Azerbaijanian" exhibition

An opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the 18th October- Independence Day of Azerbaijan was held at the Azerbaijani Independence Museum in Baku on October 17.
The exposition titled "I am proud that I am Azerbaijanian" (Mən fəxr edirəm ki, azərbaycanlıyam) showcases works reflecting development of Azerbaijan.
Director of the Independence Museum Farida Shamsi said that
admission of works to the exhibition was announced in May 2013.
"More than 50 works of 26 authors were presented at the exposition.
There are sculptures, pictures and samples of modern art among
presented works" she said.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Secretary of the Union of Artists,
National Artist of the state Aghali Ibragimov highly praised the
exhibited works.
Authors of works - Aysel Amirova, Farida Suleymanova, Mehriban
Shakhtakhtinskaya, Tofig Zeynalov Taleh Mirkazimov, Adila
Gurbanova, Kamala Musaeva, Elchin Nasirov and others-were awarded
letters of thanks.
The exhibition will last until November 1.
