Concert held in Shamakhi as part of International Mugham Festival
A concert has taken place in Azerbaijan`s district of Shamakhi as part of the 3rd International Mugham Festival.
Those speaking at the opening of the concert highlighted the works done in Azerbaijan to protect and popularize national and spiritual values in Azerbaijan. They particularly underlined the works done by president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva.
The speakers also praised the fact that concerts as part of the festival were held not only in Baku, but also in regions of Azerbaijan.
The festival that will last till March 19 is co-organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Union of Azerbaijani Composers.
First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva attended the event.
The event brought together representatives from a number of countries, including the US, Turkey, China, Iran, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, and Morocco.
