Baku to host Viennese Ball on October 20

Following successful events conducted between Austria and Azerbaijan last year, Kempinski Hotel Badamdar in Baku and ATAZ established strong partnership that has resulted in bringing the traditions of renowned Viennese Ball to the Azerbaijani capital. This initiative received approval and full support of City of Vienna, which was proud to extend the geographical boundaries of the 19th century customs to Baku. BNS Management Consulting Ltd. has played an important role in communication between the organizational committees.

Viennese Ball is one of the most beautiful traditions that went from local to global. City of Vienna organizes and participates in such events worldwide from Peru to Russia and these events are more than a highlight in the cultural season. The tradition of Viennese Ball Culture is not simply an export article -- it gives Baku one more reason to be internationally acknowledged as well as creates an entire new cultural occasion for all generations.

The Ball takes place on October 20 at 8 p.m. at the luxurious Gebele Grand Ballroom of Kempisnki Hotel Badamdar Baku under the distinguished patronage and in the presence of the Austrian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Sylvia Meier-Kajbic.

From the opening ceremony and social dancing to the traditional delicatessen of buffet guests are offered a variety of new experiences.

Inspired by the Viennese Ball tradition, guests will enter the ballroom to the music of Johann Strauss performed by Wiener Johann Strauss Capelle consisting of 12 musicians. The opening waltz will feature 18 debutante couples - graduate students of Baku Oxford School dressed in beautiful identical white gowns and glittering coronets that were kindly provided by City of Vienna.

Traditional and modern ballroom dancing will be alternating with a raffle offering as major prizes weekend stays in Kempinski Das Tirol and Kempinski Dresden hotels as well as special VIP treatments at The SPA of Kempinski Hotel Badamdar and much more.

The Viennese Ball of Baku could not come true should there have not been support from the sponsors. Kempinski Hotel Badamdar would like to extend its appreciation first to its partners on this project: City of Vienna, ATAZ, BNS Consulting, Austrian Airways and Baku Oxford School. And special thanks to sponsors: Baku Steel Company, Akkord, Gazelli and OMV.
