The third Intellectual Game Championship kicked off in country's seventy regions.

The event is dedicated to the memory of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.

The championship is organized by IRELI Public Union with the assistance of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The main goal of the project, implemented within the state program "Azerbaijani youth in 2017-2021", is to develop the intellectual movement in the country, assist youth education and reveal talented young people for participation in international games.

Another intellectual competition was held in Terter region as part of the project, Trend Life reported. The representatives of Agdam and Tartar regions took part in the competition.

Addressing the event, the head of the department for socio-political and humanitarian issues of Tartar Executive Power Elvin Umudov and secretary general of IRELI Shahin Rahmanli stressed the importance of the project.

The qualifying round in two stages are taking place in 11 country's regions.

About 1,500 young people join the intellectual games "Xəmsə" (Khamsa), "Nə? Harada? Nə zaman?" (What? Where? When?), "Axtar-tap" (Search and find), "Vətəni Tanı" (Know your country).

Agdam team became the winner in "Nə? Harada? Nə zaman?" (What? Where? When?) and "Vətəni Tanı" (Know your country) intellectual games.

Representatives of Khachmaz took the first place in "Axtar-tap" (Search and find) game, while Tartar ranked first in "Khamsa" intellectual game.

The previous finalists were as follows:

Sabail district - “Nə? Harada? Nə zaman?” (What? Where? When?)

Khatai district - "Vətəni Tanı" (Know your country)

Sabunchu district - “Axtar-tap” (Search and find)

Khazar district - “Xəmsə” (Khamsa)

The regional finalists were determined as follows:

Shabran region - “Nə? Harada? Nə zaman?” (What? Where? When?) and "Vətəni Tanı" (Know your country)

Khachmaz region - “Axtar-tap” (Search and find)

Guba region - “Xəmsə” (Khamsa)
