Third Intellectual Game Championship launched [PHOTO]

The third Intellectual Game Championship has solemnly opened.
The Intellectual Game covers Azerbaijan's seventy regions, Trend Life reported.
The event is dedicated to the memory of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
The championship is organized by IRELI Public Union with the assistance of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Addressing the opening ceremony, chairman of the Binagadi Organization of New Azerbaijan Party Ramiz Goyushov and chairman of the Binagadi Youth Organization Union Fasli Nabiyev, deputy head of the Binagadi public-humanitarian sector Shamsi Gulverdiyev, Chairman of IRELI Public Union Mirgasan Seyidov spoke about the importance of the project in youth development, wished the participants success.
It was stressed that the main goal of the project, implemented within the state program "Azerbaijani youth in 2017-2021", is to develop the intellectual movement in the country, assist youth education and reveal talented young people for participation in international games.
The qualifying round in two stages will be held in 11 country's regions.
About 1,500 young people will join the intellectual games "Xəmsə" (Khamsa), "Nə? Harada? Nə zaman?" (What? Where? When?), "Axtar-tap" (Search and find), "Vətəni Tanı" (Know your country)
Each region is represented by a team of 18 participants. The finalists will be determined in 11 regional tours in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, Guba, Terter, Ismayilli, Shamkir, Sheki, Mingachevir, Sabirabad, Lankaran and Nakhchivan. The final will be held in Baku.
After the official opening there was a competition among the youth of Binagadi, Yasamal, Khatai, Khazar, Narimanov, Nasimi, Nizami, Sabail, Sabunchi and Garadagh districts of Baku.
Sabail team took the first place in "What? Where? When?" competition.
Young people from Khatai gained the victory in the intellectual game "Know your country".
The representatives of Sabunchi disctrict became first in "Search and find" game, while Khazar team ranked first in "Khamsa" intellectual competition.
