For ten years, Gabala International Music Festival continues to surprise and delight, bringing together music lovers from over the world.

The festival offers lots of concerts with some of the greatest singers, musicians and conductors.

A mugham night, treasury of the Azerbaijani music, was held as part of the festival, Azertag reported.

Spectacular concert took place at an open-air stage set up near Heydar Aliyev Congress Center on August 2.

Sahib Pashazade (tar), Togrul Asadullayev (kamancha), Emin Jabrayilov (naghara),

Chinara Heydarova ( kanun), Azad Alimammadov (balaban), Shafa Karimov, (oud)

Abgul Mirzaliyev (khanende), Kamila Nabiyeva (khanende), Sabina Arabli (khanende) performed at the concert.

The beautiful sounds of Azerbaijani mugham and national folk songs astonished the audience.

Incredible performance of "Chahargah", one of the main seven mugham modes was met with a storm of applause.

Guests of the festival also enjoyed a concert of Israeli ensemble "Multipiano".

The ensemble consists of Tomer Lev (piano), Berenika Glixman (piano),

Nimrod Natanel Meiry-Haftel (piano), Almog Segal (piano), Ayal Peleg Pelc (piano).

The concert program included Bach-Vivaldi - Concerto in A minor for 4 Keyboards, BWV 1065; I.Allegro - II. Largo - III. Allegro (Version for 2 pianos in 8 hands by Tomer Lev); W.A.Mozart - "Larghetto & Allegro" for Two Pianos (For 2 pianos in 4 hands, 1781); D.Shostakovich -Concertino in A minor op. 94 (For 2 pianos in 4 hands); S.Rachmaninoff - “Romance” & “Waltz” (1895) (For one piano in 6 hands); B.Smetana - Sonata in E minor (in one movement) (For 2 pianos in 8 hands); M.Mussorgsky - "A Night on a Bare Mountain" –1867 original version For 2 pianos in 4 hands; A.Levanon - "Land of Four Languages" (Suite on 4 popular Israeli tunes) ; For 2 pianos in 8 hands (commissioned 2012).

Gabala International Music Festival is an annual festival of classical music held every summer since 2009.

The festival is attended by prominent musicians, soloists, conductors from Azerbaijan and foreign countries.

The world-famous conductors and musicians of Russia, Israel, the U.S., Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey are taking part in the festival.

The event also features talented musicians and participants of the "Support for Youth" project organized by People's Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic, director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after M. Magomayev, Murad Adigozalzade, and supported by the national artist, art director of the festival, Farhad Badalbeyli.

The 10th Gabala International Music Festival will run until August 7.

Notably, Baku Chamber Orchestra and Budapest Gypsy Band "Gaytaghi " ensemble will perform today.
