Lala Mammadova turns 40 [PHOTO]

Honored artist Lala Mammadova gave a concert in the International Mugham Center on February 23.
The solo concert titled "A Woman Who Sings" was co-organized by the Mədəniyyət TV and the International Mugham Center, Trend Life reported.
February 23 is a significant date in the life of singer as she turns 40.
Lala Mammadova surprised her fans with folk songs and hits written by Tofig Guliyev, Emin Sabitoglu, Elsa Ibrahimova, Ramiz Mirishli, Faig Sudzhaddinov and other famous composers.
Her performance was accompanied by the instrumental ensemble "Dan ulduzu" named after Gulara Aliyeva. The ensemble was conducted by the honored artist Tariel Abbasov.
The whole audience gave her a standing ovation.
In the end of the concert, Lala Mammadova expressed her sincere gratitude to the organizers and her fans.
"Although I never wanted to go back, but leafing through the pages of my life, I see that I haven't wasted my life all these years. One can achieve a great success, if he believes in him/herself, works hard and doesn't afraid of difficulties. Glory and wealth can leave a person, but love will always protect you for the rest of the life," she said.
