What awaits spectators at Baku Youth Theater?

The Baku-based State Theatre of Young Spectators gets ready for a new theatrical season.

Theater director, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Mubariz Hamidov, addressing a meeting devoted to the new season, welcomed the theatre staff and informed about plans and projects to be realized by late 2017.

The theater director said that the 90th theatre season will be marked with international project, Trend Life reported.

In November, Bakuvians will enjoy "Nigar`s love" play based on Epic of Koroghlu. The play will be staged jointly with the Baku Yunus Emre Institute.

The play "the Gulliver in the Land of Lilliputians" based on the work of Jonathan Swift will also be staged at the Theatre.

"The Snow Queen" play will be presented to the audience in the end of the year.

Hamidov further noted that the theater takes an active part in various international festivals and events.

He stressed that the staff of the Young Spectators Theater will join the 6th International Theater Festival "Tuganlyk" in Ufa on September 7-14.

The solo performance "Punishment" based on the work of playwright Tamara Veliyeva will be presented to festival's guests.

The performance is staged by Honored Art Worker Mehriban Alekperzade, light artist is Vadim Kuskov, stunt director Isa Asadov. The cast includes Honored Artist Kamala Huseynova.

The theater staff also received an invitation to take part in the International Festival "For Children and Teenagers" in the Republic of Kalmykia and the 5th International Theater Festival of Small Forms in Nizhnevartovsk.
