Famous Azerbaijani designer Gulnara Khalilova will present her collection "Language of Carpets" at Kasta Morrely Fashion Week to be held in Romania on November 10-12, Trend Life reported.

A fashion-focused event will bring together talents from Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Portugal, Montenegro, Moldova and Lebanon.

Gulnara Khalilova, the head of the Center of National Costumes, is a frequent guest of international fashion weeks. She is the two-times winner at Eurasian International Fashion Festival "Silk Road" held in China.

The designer created costumes for the classic Azerbaijani operetta "Arshin mal alan" by famous composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov staged at the 100th anniversary of the State Theatre of Musical Comedy.

Her works are also very popular among Turkish public figures, representatives of culture and art such as Ajda Pekkan, Emrah Erdogan, Beyazit Ozturk, Soner Sarikabadayi, and others.

During the opening of Rio 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, champion of the European Games Ilham Zakiyev was in national dress, created by the designer which was a novelty in the history of the Olympic movement.

This year, the designer has presented a catalog of Azerbaijani national costumes. The project is realized together with the photographer from Norway.

The main aim of the project is to propagandize Azerbaijani national costumes in Europe.
