Talented pianist thrills the audience

The International Mugham Center in Baku hosted a solo concert of the honored artist, Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibayli PhD Nargiz Aliyarova, Trend Life reported.

The fascinating concert has been presented in the framework the 8th Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Addressing the event, Nargis Aliyarova welcomed the guests in the hall.

"This concert is the result of my 43-year-old "relations" with a piano. I began to play when I was only five. There were a lot of tears and pain. At some point I wanted to stop playing but my love for music help me to overcame all difficulties," said pianist.

The evening was opened by the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Fantasy" and Joseph Haydn's Piano Sonata.

Perfect technique combined with beautiful sounds impressed the audience.

Spectators were delighted absolutely faultless performance.

Before the nocturne and two waltzes by the Polish composer Frederic Chopin, honored artist stressed that these works had entered the CD "Nargiz Aliyarova plays Frédéric Chopin" , released in the last year.

The music album awarded Azerbaijan State Award as well as at the prestigious prize at the International Classical Music Awards. The pianist also received diploma "For outstanding contribution to the promotion of Chopin's heritage".

Chopin's works sounded so harmonious that it felt like an extraordinary magic has captured the attention of the entire audience in the hall.

The musician masterfully performed sonata-fantasy "After Reading Dante" by Hungarian composer Franz Liszt.

The event also featured the presentation of CD "Nargiz Aliyarova plays Azerbaijani Music", recorded in Amsterdam.

The album includes music works of such great composers as Gara Garayev, Arif Melikov, Firangiz Alizadeh, Agshin Alizadeh, Ismail Hajibeyov, Faraj Kara, and Vagif Mustafazadeh.

The event continued with the performance of compositions "Waltz" and "The Most Beautiful of the Beauties " from Gara Garayev's ballet "Seven Beauties".

For pianist, these works became symbols of Azerbaijani culture.The gala concert also featured compositions "Music for piano" by Firangiz Alizadeh, "Moonlight" by Claude Debussy, and "Elegy" by Sergei Rachmaninoff.

In the end, the honored artist performed the "Malaguena" by Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona from his Suite "Andalucia".

As it turned out, the work is included in the program Nargiz Aliyarova not at all by chance .

The musician visited region Andalusia in the south of Spain, where she enjoyed beautiful music and stunning flamenco dance.

Inspired by Spanish music and flamenco dance, the pianist performed the works by Lecuona.

"I wanted to bring a piece of Spain in Baku", she said.

The audience greeted the performance with standing ovations.
