President `discontent` with some economics ministry bodies
The Azerbaijani president is discontent with the work of some entities operating under the Economic Development Ministry, the newly-appointed Minister, Shahin Mustafayev, has said.
The heads of these bodies have already been dismissed, Mustafayev noted in his first statement after being appointed to the post.
He said a number of changes are to be made in the ministry`s activity. First, the ministry has draw its attention to entrepreneurs and provide them with substantial assistance.
"The key goal of the Economic Development Ministry is not to conduct baseless check-ups of entrepreneurs, but to facilitate their development. Violations of law in this area will be eliminated in a short time," Mustafayev pledged.
Mustafayev noted that supervision of activities carried out within the ministry should be stepped up, as well. In particular, there is a need to set up a body exercising control over the work of the entities operating under its umbrella.
"So far, no such body has been in place, but it will be established in a short time," he added.
Mustafayev, who had worked as first deputy minister of taxes prior to his new appointment, succeeded Heydar Babayev in this capacity according to a recent presidential decree.
