AZAL to initiate affordable tours to world's popular resorts
By Amina Nazarli
Azerbaijan’s largest airline, AZAL, together with its partners will introduce new affordable tour packages to the world’s most popular resorts starting in 2016.
The airline conceived of the project based on the high level of demand for affordable tours to the world’s top destinations.
AZAL, with its fleet of 25 airplanes equipped with economy-class seating and all of the services associated with it, will carry out these flights that are more accessible to the public.
Responding to complaints of pricier ticketing than its competitors, the company said that AZAL provides passengers with a high level of safety, comfort, and quality service.
In comparison with other companies, AZAL, which flies to 40 destinations in 19 countries guarantees a return flight, despite any possible change in the political climate of the destination country.
“AZAL received a prestigious 4 Stars from the leader in air transport research, world-famous British consulting company Skytrax in June 2015. This puts the national carrier in the line with world recognized global carriers. That’s why the cost of AZAL services look very affordable,” AZAL reported.
The Azerbaijani commercial aviation service, which transported more than 1.8 million people in 2014, fully meets the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and enjoys membership in the most prestigious civil aviation associations, such as the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
AZAL recorded a 35 percent growth in the number of departures from Azerbaijan compared to the arrivals into the country in 2014.
“Statistics show that 20 percent customers of the tour operators' partners of AZAL prefer to stay in four-star hotels, while 80 percent want to stay in five-star hotels. That’s why the price of AZAL’s tickets are relatively high,” the company explained.
Despite this, AZAL’s partners provide customers with competitive offers at some of the world’s priciest and coveted resorts, AZAL stressed.
“Special offers on the price of tour packages, which include flight and stay in a five-star hotel at the world’s most popular resorts, are 499 manats,” AZAL said.
Meanwhile, AZAL in conjunction with its partners, plan to commence flights to the resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh in September 2015.
As a regional and CIS leader by the number of new aircrafts in its fleet, including Boeing B-787-8, Boeing 757-200, Boeing 767-300, Airbus 319, Airbus A320, Airbus A340-500, Embraer ERJ 170-100LR and Embraer ERJ 190-100, AZAL offers its passenger flights to European countries, the CIS, the Middle East, Asia, and the United States.
