Baku will discuss business cooperation with Amsterdam at the Azerbaijani-Dutch business forum in May.

Relations between the two countries will be discussed at the annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Baku, said Rufat Mammadov, the head of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation.

The 48th Annual Meeting of the ADB Board of Governors will be held in Azerbaijani capital on May 3-5.

AZPROMO has a number of missions abroad, in the U.S., the UK, Austria, the UAE, Georgia and Romania, Mammadov said. The foundation is also planning to expand its activities in the markets of other countries.

"Currently, we are also considering a number of inquiries from our foreign colleagues to conduct activities, in Azerbaijan as well," Mammadov said.

A special project is currently under development in view of promoting non-oil products of Azerbaijan to foreign markets, he added.

The conception will include the issues of promoting the national brand “Made in Azerbaijan”, as well as branding Azerbaijan's regions and types of products, the foundation head said.

Dutch companies supply services to oil and gas sector in Azerbaijan and have a good reputation.

The development of non-oil sector in the country opened opportunities for Dutch companies in transport and logistics, water management, infrastructure environmental projects and agribusiness, as well as technical consultancy firms.

Dutch companies have made nearly $670 million direct investments in Azerbaijan's economy and rank fourth on this index among the countries investing in Azerbaijan.
