Azeri-Cuban ICT co-op deal in the making
An agreement between the governments of Azerbaijan and Cuba on
telecommunications, postal services and information communication
technologies is currently being negotiated.
The announcement was made on Friday at a meeting of the Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and Information Technologies, Ali Abbasov, with the Cuban Ambassador in Baku, Marcelo Caballero Torres.
Torres pointed out, in his remarks, that capitalizing on the experience of both countries in the ICT sector would be of great importance. He particularly highlighted the success achieved by Azerbaijan in this field, saying his country was seeking to benefit from those accomplishments.
Also, the Cuban envoy noted that there were favorable conditions for transferring ICT products and services from Azerbaijan to the Cuban market.
The parties further discussed developing methods to put their proposed plans into action.
