Azerbaijan’s foreign trade operations decrease

Azerbaijan’s foreign trade operations have decreased by 7.78
percent in January-October 2014 compared to the same period last
year, the State Customs Committee said on November 15.
The number of Azerbaijan's foreign trade partners during this
period stood at 146.
The country’s total trade turnover exceeded $26.56 billion, and
the black ink worth over $11.83 billion was formed in foreign trade
operations.
Azerbaijan’s foreign trade surplus was $11.04 billion in the same
period last year, while $998.38 million as of October 2014.
About 5,666 legal and physical entities were involved in foreign
economic activities in the reported period; some 3,489 of them were
legal entities and 2,177 physical entities.
Export operations reached $19.19 billion in January-October, which
is 3.65 percent less compared to the same period of 2013.
The public sector share in export operations was estimated at
$18.08 billion, the private sector share - $944.65 million and
physical entities' share- $167.48 million.
Imports exceeded $7.36 billion in January-October, which is 17.06
percent less compared to the same period of 2013.
The public sector share in import operations was estimated at
nearly $1.94 billion, private sector share, $5.13 billion and
physical entities share, $294.86 million.
Azerbaijan exported 2,007 kinds of goods and imported 5,861 kinds
of goods in the reported period.
