Several International exhibitions kicked off simultaneously in Baku on October 31.

The exhibitions include the 19th Azerbaijan International Healthcare Exhibition, the 8th Azerbaijan International Stomatology Exhibition, and 7th Azerbaijan International Beauty and Aesthetic Medicine Exhibition.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Health Elsavar Agayev said that holding a healthcare exhibition in Azerbaijan in autumn has already become a tradition.

Interest in holding the exhibition with the support of the Health Ministry every year is increasing and its scale is expanding, Agayev said.

"130 companies from 17 countries are participating in the exhibition. The healthcare exhibition is important in terms of establishing cooperation between medical representatives, and exchanging views between organizations," he said.

"Along with other fields in the country, the healthcare filed has also successfully developed. Over the last six years, more than 500 medical centers in Azerbaijan were rebuilt, overhauled, and provided with modern equipment," Agayev added.

President of Azerbaijan Stomatology Association Rena Aliyeva also said that the healthcare exhibition is of great importance.

According to her, equipment for oral hygiene, dental equipment, and the recent technologies for implantology and teeth whitening are put on display at the Stomatology Exhibition.

Director of Iteca Caspian LLC Edward Strachan said the number of participants increased by 20% this year.

"For the first time, the Medical tourism section covering more than 20 countries will function as a part of the exhibition. The Medical tourism section is organized with the support of the World Medical Tourism Association and the Medical Tourism Association of Turkey," he said.

The exhibitions organized by Iteca Caspian LLC and ITE Group PLC are supported by the Ministry of Health, Azerbaijan Stomatology Association, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).

The exhibitions will come to an end on November 2.
