Azerbaijan studies Austrian experience on securities market
Employees of Azerbaijan's State Securities Committee have participated in courses of the Austrian market regulator on ways of determining suspicious transactions, the committee said on Monday.
The courses were held in Vienna within the EU instrument TAIEX.
Experts of the Azerbaijani securities committee examined Austria's experience in exposing and preventing the abuse of information on the securities market, withdrawing securities, and accounting mechanisms.
According to the changes made to the rules of enforcing the law on "Combating money laundering or other property obtained as a result of crimes and terrorism financing", the state committee has introduced a new reporting form for brokers and other professional market participants on asset governance, including investment funds and lottery organizers.
Thus, the Azerbaijani securities committee introduced risk-based supervision in the field of combating money laundering and other property obtained as a result of crimes.
