Azercell signs deals with five operators
Azerbaijan's leading cellular provider Azercell continues
increasing the number of its international roaming partners.
This time the provider launched international MMS roaming services
with five companies - Ukranian Astelit, Hungarian Pannon, China
Mobile, French SFR and Hutchinson 3G UK Limited.
The company had launched the first international MMS roaming
service in Azerbaijan in April 2007 with the aim of making its
customers feel at home. At present Azercell provides MMS roaming
services in 15 countries through 16 cellular operators.
Azercell has concluded GPRS/MMS contracts with 111 operators from
55 countries so far.
The MMS roaming service allows Azercell subscribers to exchange MMS
not only within the network but also with subscribers of the
operator with which a contract has been signed.
Azercell customers are already able to exchange MMS with
subscribers of Swedish TeliaSonera, Georgian Geocell, Turkish
Turkcell, Moldovan Moldcell, Australian Telstra, Bulgarian Globul,
Czech 02, German O2, Austrian One, Ukrainian Kyivstar and Saudi
Arabian Mobily companies.
