Inflation in Azerbaijan predicted at 3-5 pct in 2013: statistics body
Inflation in Azerbaijan is forecasted at three to five per cent in 2013, chairman of the State Statistics Committee, Arif Veliyev, said at a press conference on the results of 2012, Trend news agency reported.
He said in 2012 compared to 2011, consumer prices and tariffs for services increased by 1.1 per cent, including food prices which rose by 0.8 per cent, non-food products by 1 per cent and service tariffs by 1.2 per cent.
"In December, inflation was 0.7 per cent. Food products increased in price by 1.3 per cent, but prices for non-food products and services did not change," Veliyev said.
