Azerbaijan to host forum of women businessmen
Azerbaijan will host the Third Forum of Women Entrepreneurs on November 14-15, organised by the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and dedicated to the role of women in the business, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organisation of Azerbaijan (ASK) said.
The event will be organised taking into account the fact that development of the non-oil sector in the country including small and medium enterprises, is currently a top priority.
Issues relating to the problems faced by women entrepreneurs, availability of financial resources and the establishment of educational centres for women entrepreneurs in the country's regions will be discussed during the forum.
According to ASK, the above mentioned activities will be held in the regions of Azerbaijan with financial support from the UN and the assistance of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children.
Currently, there are more than 8000 women entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan.
