EU twinning projects aid Azeri institutional reform
Azerbaijan is using actively the tool to reform its own institutions on the EU adopted twinning system, according to Fineko/abc.az, a portal of Fineko analytical and information agency.
27 twinning projects have been initiated in the country so far, Economic Development Ministry's head of foreign investment coordination and assistance, Sahil Babayev, told the "Building Bridges" conference on Thursday.
"Of them, eight projects have been implemented, seven are in the process of implementation, and the others are being prepared," Babayev said. "Twinning has already greatly benefitted the country, especially in licensing and certification of fishing."
