Azerbaijan offers Slovenia to work in special economic zones
Azerbaijan has offered Slovenian companies to work in special economic zones that are to be established in the fast-growing South Caucasus republic.
The issue was discussed at a meeting of Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev with his Slovenian counterpart Radovan Zerjav. The meeting covered development of economic cooperation between the two countries and collaboration between businessmen.
Mustafayev said Azerbaijani-Slovenian cooperation is developing in various fields and stressed the importance of visits by high-ranking officials and the holding of business meetings.
The Slovenian minister, in turn, noted that reforms and stable economic development in Azerbaijan are being followed in his country with great interest.
According to Zerjav, Azerbaijan and Slovenia have the potential for even greater development of economic relations.
Five companies with Slovenian capital were registered in Azerbaijan in 2004-2011.
