AzAL launches Baku-Tabriz flights
Azerbaijan Airlines (AzAL) launched round-trip flights from the capital Baku to Tabriz on July 3.
Direct flights to the Iranian city densely populated by Azerbaijanis will be carried out by Azerbaijan's state airline on board ATR-42 planes every Tuesday and Friday at 10 p.m. and 1.15 a.m., respectively, until November 27, the company said.
A round-trip ticket costs at least 190 manats (around $240).
Tabriz-Baku-Tabriz flights are currently administered by the Iranian airline Kish Air as well. The flights are carried out at 2.15 p.m. on Saturdays on board Douglas aircraft. A ticket for a Kish Air flight is sold for 159 manats (about $200).
AzAL and another airline, Iran Air, also carry out Baku-Tehran flights.
