Azeri capital to host Crans Montana Forum

An annual Crans Montana Forum will be held in the Azerbaijani capital Baku from June 28 to July 1 to discuss public and private governance concerning energy policy.
Crans Montana Forum has been held since 1989 and is an exclusive business club, where current political and socio-economic problems of global and regional scale are discussed in free and informal debates.
``The world is changing and governments, as well as business circles have to shape and implement new and sustainable policies applied to the production, the distribution and the safety of energy for today and tomorrow,`` according to Crans Montana Forum`s website.
The 23rd forum`s major debates include the role of Azerbaijan in securing the Far Eastern Europe, the Israel-Palestinian issue, the future and models for Islamic countries as far as their world integration is concerned, implementing and monitoring ethical rules in international corporate policies.
Iraq`s Deputy Prime Minister Rowsh Nouri Shaways will visit Azerbaijan to attend the energy forum, a diplomatic source told the Baku-based Trend news agency.
Crans Montana Forum is an international organization created in Crans Montana, Switzerland in 1986. It is formally recognized by all the major international organizations. The forum is working in close cooperation with institutional partners such as the UN, UNESCO, UNIDO, ISESCO, the European Union, the Council of Europe, OFID, as well as with major international groups.
