Average wage reaches $287
The average wage has reached 238 manats ($287) in Azerbaijan. The
figure is 26.5% over the same period of 2007, the State Statistics
Committee said.
The indicator is expected to reach 274 manats ($330) by the year-end, the government estimates. The wages have risen 3.7% in the past month. The increase is 0.6% above the inflation registered in this period.
According to official data, Azerbaijani citizens spend 67.9% of their earnings on basic goods and services, while 23 % - on savings.
