AzAL expands fleet

The fleet of Azerbaijan`s state airline AzAL will be expanded with the delivery of a Boeing 767-300ER passenger plane to Baku in late May or early June, spokesman Maharram Safarli has said.
``We are making efforts for it to arrive in the capital by June 2, the professional holiday of civil aviation workers,`` Safarli said.
Safarli also said Baku will get two Boeing 767 freight carriers by the end of this year.
AzAL will be the first company in Central Asia to receive the most modern aircraft - two Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes from 2014. This will allow the airline to launch flights over long distances, particularly in North and South America, South-East Asia and other regions of the world.
