Poland to help Azerbaijan improve securities market laws
The European Union has approved a proposal of the Polish Agency for Financial Control to bring Azerbaijani laws on the securities market into compliance with EU legislation on the institutional development for the twinning project, Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Securities said on Tuesday.
"The main goal of the project is to bring the supervisory and regulatory frameworks of legislation into line with advanced EU standards, as well as assist in raising awareness of securities market participants," it said.
A contract is expected to be signed between the Polish agency and the Azerbaijani state committee to launch the project.
