US envoy calls for foreign investment in Azeri region
US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza called on foreign businessmen to invest in Agjabadi during a visit to the country’s central region on Thursday, saying there was vast potential to develop its agriculture sector.
Bryza told reporters that the goal of his visit was to study the situation with agriculture there and familiarize himself with the activity of farmers in the Takhtakorpu settlement who hail from Lachin, an Azerbaijani region occupied by Armenia.
