Azeri president inaugurates Hilton Baku hotel

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva on Monday attended the inauguration ceremony of the luxurious Hilton hotel complex in downtown Baku.
After cutting the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the hotel, President Aliyev toured the facility, according to the president’s press-service.
Hilton Baku was built in accordance with the agreement signed between ISR Capital Management and Hilton Worldwide in 2007. The construction of the 25-storied hotel was launched in early 2010 by Turkish Koray Construction Company. The facility has 309 rooms.
Aliyev viewed the 200-seat Shakar-Lunch and Silantro restaurants, which will serve delicious dishes of Azerbaijani and other cuisines.
On the top floor, a revolving lounge making a 360 degree circle per hour was created for the first time in Azerbaijan. During warm weather, visitors will be able to enjoy the view of Baku from here.
The spa and fitness center contain a swimming pool, a massage pool, a Turkish bath house, eight treatment rooms, and a VIP spa.
The presidential suite on the 21st floor will offer the highest standard of services applied in the world hotel business.
The facility also has 18 meeting rooms equipped with cutting edge technologies, as well as a 750-seat conference hall for holding events of nationwide and international scale.
President of ISR Holding Isgandar Khalilov and vice president of Hilton Worldwide Mike Collini thanked the president and the first lady for attending the opening ceremony.
