Aerated concrete plant to be launched in Azerbaijan shortly

BAKU – An aerated concrete plant unmatched in the South Caucasus region will begin operating in Azerbaijan in the coming days, according to AAC, the only producer of aerated concrete in the country.

The company said successful tests carried out at the plant have allowed to produce high-quality aerated concrete blocks.

Cutting edge German technologies were used to build the facility, which is located in a settlement of the Garadagh district outside the capital Baku. Its daily production capacity will be 600 cubic meters of aerated concrete and 100 tons of lime. By the end of 2011, output is expected to reach 25,000 cubic meters of aerated concrete blocks and 12,500 tons of lime, AAC LLC said.

The company’s CEO, Teymur Abdurahimov, said most of the produce will be sold in the domestic market, but added that in the future AAC plans exports to neighboring countries including Georgia and Iran as well as the Russian republic of Daghestan.
