Azercell to launch 3G in early 2011
BAKU – The leading Azerbaijani cellular operator Azercell Telecom will launch a 3G network in early 2011, the company’s president Ali Agan said on Thursday.
Agan said that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, addressing the BakuTel 2010 exhibition on Tuesday, praised 3G technology and noted the importance of Azercell’s deploying a 3G network in the country.
The company has completed technical preparations to introduce 3G network and it will be available after a license is issued by the communications ministry.
