Azeri bank deposits up a third (UPDATED)
BAKU - Azeri population’s bank deposits have increased 32.4 percent by August, compared to a year earlier, to reach 2.56 billion manats ($3.2 billion), the State Statistics Committee said.
Foreign currency deposits increased 17.2 percent to reach 1.45bn manats (over $1.8bn), while bank deposits in national currency decreased by 59.5 pct to make up 1.11bn manats.
