MIGOM money transfers banned in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan’s Central Bank has banned the MIGOM money
transfer system in the country, effective on Tuesday, due to its
being used in the Armenia-occupied Azerbaijani territories.
The bank said that earlier, in a bid to counter such instances, it had issued warnings to the money transfer systems and the entities overseeing their operation, demanding that such transactions in the occupied Azerbaijani regions be discontinued. The Central Bank warned that, otherwise, all banks operating in Azerbaijan will be forbidden to cooperate with the money transfer systems in question.
