IBA, American Express launch platinum card
The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) and
American Express announced on March 1 that IBA will start issuing
The Platinum Card, one of the most prestigious cards in the world
with a number of benefits and services that are unprecedented in
Azerbaijan.
This premium product will be offered for the first time in the Azerbaijani market, providing a rich set of privileges to card members both locally and whilst traveling abroad.
The Platinum Card is designed for the most affluent segment of the Azerbaijan population and, initially, it will be distributed by invitation only to IBA’s most important customers.
The benefits and features on the card are innovative and were developed to satisfy the needs of high profile customers with a demanding, luxurious and busy lifestyle. Key benefits include a world-class dedicated, multilingual servicing unit that is available 24/7 and numerous prestigious travel, lifestyle and insurance privileges.
"By partnering with American Express, one of the world’s leading premium brands, IBA is able to bring an innovative product to the Azerbaijan market that best matches the discerning needs of our customers," said Rovshan Karimov, IBA Deputy Chairman. "The exclusive right to issue the American Express Platinum Card in Azerbaijan will help increase IBA’s competitive advantage when looking to penetrate the top affluent segment."

Superior service and exclusive travel and lifestyle privileges include the Platinum Service, which includes booking flights, hotels and restaurants; international emergency assistance and urgent Card re-issuing when required; free, unlimited access to over 600 VIP airport lounges worldwide with Priority Pass; comprehensive global travel insurance benefit packages; benefits for card members in the finest hotels around the world, etc.
No deposit is required for the card.
