Aliyev inaugurates Ramada Plaza in Ganja
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a five-star Ramada Plaza hotel of the world-famous US-based hotel chain in Ganja, Azerbaijan’s second largest city.
President Aliyev toured the 181-suit facility, whose construction began in May 2005. The facility spanning over 23,300 square meters comprises fitness centers, swimming pools, tennis courts and pool rooms, conference halls, restaurants and night clubs. The hotel, which employs 180 people, has a capacity to accomodate up to 320 people.
The president said in a meeting with the local community that there had been a great need for constructing such a topnotch hotel in Ganja.
Ramada Plaza is the second hotel opened by the Ramada hotel chain in Azerbaijan. The first one opened in January 2008 on the Shikhov beach, a resort area just southwest of the capital Baku. *
