Azerbaijani millionaire Mubariz Mansimov, who runs the Palmali
group of companies transporting cargo, is seeking to buy out CINE5,
one of Turkey’s mostly watched TV channels, Turkish media
reported.
The issue of the broadcaster’s ownership is to be resolved in January.
Two more businessmen are bidding for the CINE5 takeover – the owner of Turkey’s ATV channel, Ahmet Calik, and a co-owner of the local Star newspaper and 24 TV channel, Fattah Temince.*
