BP and its partners spent $ 4.1 million on social investment projects in Azerbaijan in 2018, AZERTAC reported citing BP Azerbaijan.

The success of BP and its partners in the Caspian projects also includes the creation of benefits that are felt through the projects for the people in the region. BP and its partners carry out significant social investment projects.

These projects are focused on the development of education, skills and abilities in local communities, improving the community's social infrastructure, providing access to financial resources and supporting local businesses through training, cultural heritage and sport development, as well as technical assistance to government agencies.

BP and its partners have invested more than $ 4.1 million in social investment and sponsorship projects in Azerbaijan in 2018.

BP (on behalf of his partners in joint projects where he is an operator) will continue to invest in social investment projects that support local development and entrepreneurship development throughout Azerbaijan to help strengthen the country's economy.

BP and its partners in joint venture projects invested $ 2.7 million in 2013, $ 5.9 million in 2014, $ 4.5 million in 2015, and 1.5 million in 2016 $ 5.7 million in 2017.

BP is one of the world's most renowned oil and gas suppliers and its operations cover the safe development and production of key energy sources, and has been managing large projects for exploration, development and transportation of oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan for 26 years safely and reliably.

BP’s office was opened in Baku in 1992. Since then, the company participated in a series of the upstream project in Azerbaijan together with SOCAR.

So far, BP has invested more than $ 72 billion in projects in the country with its partners and has created tens of thousands of jobs and its extensive social investment activities (local capacity building, education, community development, local entrepreneurship, sports potential and research of country's rich cultural heritage and promotion) to local communities.
