BP allots grant to local community
BP Azerbaijan, the operator of large-scale energy
projects in the country, has allocated a $226,000 grant to a rural
community. The funds, allotted on behalf of BP`s partners in the
projects, will be channeled into economic development of the
Khatynly community of the western Tovuz district, located on the
frontline with Armenia, the company said.
In addition to the grant, a $6,000 allocation will support the local organization to execute the project. The community representatives, for their part, have assumed a commitment to raise an additional $24,500.
