The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of Azerbaijan has presented a new e-service – export application.
The service, provided by Azexport digital trading hub and portal, will help entrepreneurs simplify the export of their products to foreign markets.
Addressing the meeting dedicated to the launch of the service, manager of Azexport portal Zaur Gardashev said that it will allow entrepreneurs to obtain all the required export permits, as well as issue customs declarations and even enjoy subsidies under the export promotion mechanism.
“Entrepreneurs will be able to fill the declaration by sharing a minimum of personal information. The service users will be required to specify the name of the exported product and the destination country only once,” he noted.
After that, the system will automatically determine and provide a list of all necessary documents. Then, with the entrepreneur’s consent, an export application is composed and sent to the relevant state organizations to acquire necessary permissions.
He noted that that implementation of the new system minimizes contacts between entrepreneurs and officials. In addition, the e-service simplifies permission acquiring procedure for entrepreneurs from Azerbaijani regions.
Gardashev further said that Azerbaijan is offering to simplify trade procedures within the Eastern Partnership and GUAM. He noted that the digital trading hub of Azerbaijan is aimed at implementing not only local projects, but also regional ones.
“Relevant proposals on the possibility of using a single electronic environment to facilitate the passage of export products across the border have been submitted to the European Union for consideration of a possible cooperation within the Eastern Partnership, as well as GUAM member countries,” Azexport manager said, adding that in future, the export application service will be supplemented with new modules that simplify the passage of export products across the border.
Gardashev also noted that one of the innovations will be a mobile application providing detailed information about the manufacturer and product characteristics by reading the barcode.
“In the next stages we plan to integrate the system with the customs services of neighboring countries,” he added.
Azexport portal was created in 2016 with the main objective of ensuring the promotion and sale of goods and services on domestic and international markets by posting information about them. The portal allows users to register, create a profile, post information, as well as photos, video, text and other information about the offered services and products.
Being integrated with the most popular electronic trading platforms, Azexport makes the products available to potential buyers from anywhere in the world.
