Arabs keen on investing in transport
Arab businessmen are interested in investing in road
construction and maritime and aviation transport sectors in
Azerbaijan, the UAE`s Minister of Economics, Sultan bin Saeed
al-Mansouri, announced during a meeting at the Transport Ministry
last week.
The parties focused on investment opportunities in the transport infrastructure. Deputy Transport Minister Musa Panahov said the Arabs were mainly interested in the reconstruction of roads.
Al-Mansuri told journalists after the meeting that the objective of the meetings was to elevate economic cooperation to a higher level. "We intend to implement projects in different economic sectors and the talks are to identify areas in which we can invest. We would like to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the oil, gas, transport and tourism spheres."
