The export promotion portal of Azerbaijan - azexport.az received orders worth $264 million from 53 countries during the seven months of 2017.

The total volume of non-oil export operations with participation of 1,333 companies amounted to $855 million during the reported period, reads a report for August issued by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.

The top five countries importing non-oil products of Azerbaijan are Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Switzerland and Turkmenistan.

The analysis of the seven-month data shows that the first place in non-oil exports is taken by tomato with $127.9 million, the second place-gold with $60.7 million and the third place- primary polyethylene with a specific gravity of less than 0.94 with $54.4 million.

The volume of export orders received in January amounted to $48 million, in February to $6.5 million, in March to $27 million, in April to $29.9 million, in May to $19 million, in June to $62.3 million and in July-$71.6 million.

Russia leads the list of countries that have made orders from Azerbaijan with 19 percent. Some 7.8 percent of export orders fall to Ukraine’s share, 7.4 percent-to Turkey’s, and 4.8 percent-to Saudi Arabia’s and the U.S. share, each.

For the first time orders were received from Qatar, Tanzania and Ecuador in July.

Among the orders received during the reported month are mainly nuts, wine, cosmetics, tobacco, mushrooms, baby clothes, milk powder, furniture, chicken eggs, frozen chicken, cherries, silk carpets, cucumbers, cotton fiber, apple, oil, engine oil, etc.

Azexport.az was created in accordance with the order "On creation of a unified database of goods produced in Azerbaijan Republic", signed on 21 September 2016 by President Ilham Aliyev.
