Volume of exchange dealings increase fourfold

The National Depository Center (NDC) of Azerbaijan registered 1,394 exchange dealings on the purchase and sale of securities worth 496.93 million manats ($) in January-July of 2017, which is 3.98 times higher than the figure for the same period of last year.
Some 260 ex-pit transactions were registered for almost 471.2 million manats (an increase of 3.5 times per year) in January-July 2017, according to the statistics published on August 15 by the NDC.
Over the period of seven months, 2017, 425 transactions, worth 2.75 billion manats, were registered on additional emission. Volume of such transactions decreased by 60 percent as compared to January-July 2016.

The NDC was established on September 18, 1997. The founder and owner of all shares of the center is the State Property Committee of Azerbaijan. After the creation of the State Committee for Securities (SCS), the shares of NDC were transferred to its property. In this regard, the NDC was reestablished by the SCS September 8, 1999 and passed the state registration September 17, 1999.
The NDC is a state organization that is an integral part of the national depository system, which directly deals with depositary activities and maintains a record of depositories that are part of the depository system and supervises their activities.
