Azerbaijan`s currency reserves up
Azerbaijan`s currency reserves increased 2.5 times
in 2008 as compared to 2007, the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA)
has said.
The country`s currency reserves have exceeded $18.5 billion. More than $11.2bn was made up by the assets of the State Oil Fund, the body that holds Azerbaijan`s considerable oil revenues, while $869 million - by the deposits of Ministry of Finance and over $6.467 billion by the NBA funds.
