Volume of exchange dealings tripled

The National Depository Center(NDC) of Azerbaijan registered 1,002 exchange dealings on the purchase and sale of securities for 345.6 million manats in January-May 2017, which is almost three times higher than the figure for 5 months of 2016.
The Center reported that some 166 ex-pit transactions were registered for almost 459.6 million manats ($270 million), in January-May of this year.
Over five months 263 deals on additional emission for 1.7 billion manats ($997 million) were registered. The volume of such transactions increased by 32.8 percent compared to January-May of 2016.

NDC was established on September 18, 1997.
NDC is a state organization that is an integral part of the national depository system, which directly deals with depositary activities and maintains a record of depositories that are part of the depository system and supervises their activities.
